It's the time of the year to show our appreciation for our friends, family and customers with four giveaways. The first one was last week. It was a gift of seeds to grow a beautiful garden with peppers and basil and lovely flowers. That gift is on its way!
Giveaway #2 is four bars of our luxurious Goat's Milk Soap. Our soap is made of coconut oil and olive oil and of course, goat's milk. We add pure essential oils for our scents. It produces the richest lather and rinses clean. You can use it as a shampoo bar as well.
This is the soap that we taught our students to make over the summer in our soap making classes.
We'll hold those classes again in the Spring, be watching the blog for the class schedule to be released in January. If you were a student at any of my classes, you know what you'll be getting!
Goat's Milk Soap is just so nice because of the properties of the milk. It's creamy and adds an extra skin loving dollop of glycerin. When you buy soap at the grocery store, you are getting detergent, really. The soap companies remove the glycerin because it can be sold alone by itself. Most consumers don't know this or if they know it, they don't know why it's bad. Our soap is so gentle, it's suitable for folks with difficult, dry skin.
Commercial soaps dry out the skin and clean off the natural oils that we need in our skin but our soap moisturizes and enriches it instead. We use the soap leavings to make our laundry soap, too and it's just a great way to get our clothing clean and smelling great! (Other products are added to make laundry soap, btw. fodder for a future post)
